The last DC-10 in Europe! - Retirement flight before scrapping

Footage of the last flight, of the last civilian McDonnell Douglas DC10 in Europe!

Takeoff from Liege (Belgium) to Bangor (Maine, USA) and then on to Bob Sikes in Florida, where she ended her days; being 34 years old.

This plane is often mistaken by its successor, the MD11, which has also become a rare plane in the skies today. FedEx still has a bunch of DC10s, but they only fly in the Americas.

After pushback, they had engine problems and after 25 minutes of trying to restart the engines, they had to return to the parking stand. This gave us an opportunity to drive to the other side of the airport to capture the takeoff when they had finally solved the problems.

Seen here in colors of its former airline "Avient" with registration N495DC (former ZALT).

This DC10 with serial number c/n 47818, has been serving many airlines back in the days:
197980 Singapore Airlines
198092 Varig
1992 World Airways
199293 Garuda Indonesia
199396 Biman Bangladesh Airlines
199698 McDonnell Douglas Finance Corporation (MDFC)
19982000 Caledonian Airways
200002 JMC Airlines
Converted to freighter
200207 DAS Air Cargo
200713 Avient Aviation
2013 Southern Aircraft Consultancy
