The LAST SECTION Of The Bytown u0026 Prescott Railroad

Spokes & Scenery

Over the last 6 months, I've biked on the Osgoode Link Pathway and the North Grenville Recreational Trail. With the Osgoode trail being at the north end and the North Grenville trail in the middle of the former Bytown and Prescott Railway line, I wanted to visit the south part to see what was left there.

I started in the city of Brockville where the old CPR railway docks used to be at Blockhouse Island and travelled along old Highway 2 to the town of Prescott to where the Bytown and Prescott railway docks were. Neither train yard exists today along these communities along the St. Lawrence River and I wanted to do a bike ride to tie both of these historic areas together.

After exploring along the waterfront in the town of Prescott, I continued along the multiuse pathway to where the trains would have turned north towards the city of Ottawa and explored as far as I could go along the former railway line's southernmost section.

*Edited video until Prescott and then realtime for my explore along the former railway line.
