It's been a challenging year of boat projects to get our Westsail 42 ready for cruising, but the time has finally arrived to launch the boat. As the travellift slowly creeps towards the good ship "Sea Rat", a complex cocktail of emotions including feelings of excitement, doubt, anticipation, fear, happiness and relief begin to flow. The boat still needs plenty of work, but for now it's time to set the projects aside, put her in the water, rig her for sail, and make the final preparations necessary to depart the marina and sail over the horizon.
