By 1968, at 47 years old, Suharto emerged as Indonesia's number one man. For the next three decades, Suharto and his family allegedly amassed the largest illgotten fortune in all of Asia.
Most of which would likely never be recovered, constituting a $35 billion theft that continues to haunt Indonesians till this day.
