Doug is a show that honestly, wasn't all too controversial or dark. Sure, it may have tackled some issues that it's audience may have faced in real life, however, the show did a great job of keeping in mind who that audience is... At it's heart, Doug is a kids show. With that, comes with the territory of wanting to teach valuable life lessons in a usually more lighthearted way.
