It is about 8am, on the morning of the 23rd of January 1483. Anselm Adornes, a member of that famous family from Bruges, is having breakfast in the guest hall of a Scottish monastery. A small army of men gathers outside hellbent on doing him harm. Wanting to protect the nuns, Anselm decides to step outside and reason with the men. A decision that will cost him his life.
