ESPN NFL Football, also known as ESPN NFL 2K4, or simply NFL 2K4, was a great game, and there’s an argument that it might just be better than its younger brother, the revered ESPN NFL 2K5. It has better AI and faster gameplay, which might be enough for some to prefer it. Regardless, the game is rarely talked about today, making it easily the most underrated NFL video game of all time. Honorable mention would probably go to NFL Gameday 04.
