Insider Guides - International Students Guides

Australia’s migration system is changing once again! As of 25 November 2023, a new 482 visa PR pathway will be available to temporary visa holders.

Under the new changes, more Temporary Skilled Shortage (subclass 482) visa holders will be eligible to apply for the Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186) visa.

Plus, all 482 visa holders will be eligible to apply after only two years of working in their skilled occupation instead of three years.

Chatting with Insider Guides, Migration Attorney Chris Johnston explains some of the most important details about these updates and how they might affect current and prospective applicants.
