I have a beef with wearing mascara. I was so excited when Dior signed off on the nomascara look. As a woman over 60 who wore contact lenses for decades, I never enjoyed the way mascara felt on my eyes and they often got irritated.

There are ways to apply eye makeup that are simple and minimalistic and can create the illusion of wearing mascara without actually wearing it. No one needs an eye infection that can be caused by dirty mascara wands so why not go without.

I know some women would never leave the house without mascara on and that's perfectly fine. Whatever floats your boat. But for those of us who do not enjoy wearing it, this is an alternative solution.
