This video is to explain the proper way to tie a Dongle Rig. This video is the dongle rig and other rig is just a rig with a hair rigged bait. I was introduced to this rig approximately 67years ago and it originated in South Africa. It is a big fish rig and is designed to be used with hooks larger than 4/0 and allows you to clip the lead to the hook instead of the other way round allowing the angler to cast bigger baits further. The hair rig on the hook is known as a "dingle dangle" and this can be popped up or left to lay on the sea bed.
I hope this video clears up any confusion with this rig and what a true dongle rig is.
