Taken Jan 9th 2023 and this is a little overview of the tree work done so far. After getting the trees taken down by the road we moved back to the line back between the fields to take out all the junk trees in the old fence line. I dont want to take them all out because I want a bit of a wind brake left there to slow the wind down. I had an idea there is a spring down in that corner of the field and I'm pretty sure now there is one as there is a lot of water standing down there now. It hasnt rained in about a week but suddenly there is a lot of water down there. It's going to take awhile to get this all cleaned up and leveled out but it will be well worth the work in the long run. Everything is a sloppy mess right now but when it dries out I'm going to have a lot of stick picking to do and a lot of ruts to disk in but thats a ways off right now. Now to be clear I got rid of junk trees and bad trees that were in that old fence line but left the good mature trees be as a wind brake. Junk trees like Elm Pin Oak Gum Catawba Sassafras or anything in a bad place had to go and as well as any hollow tree for obvious reasons. I like good trees and in the right place but the junk has got to go ! There has been a lot of work done so far but there is even more to come in the clean up stage of this project. With any luck I will be getting some field tile put in this year too but for now this is the first part on this years project list getting done. I hope you enjoyed watching. Bandit
