Paris in my Pocket

Here’s everything you need to know about the Paris Metro, with some tidbits for 2024 including the Paris Summer Olympics. Get even more about navigating the city at https://go.parisinmypocket.com/l54Orq'>https://go.parisinmypocket.com/l54Orq with our guide to getting around Paris. Link to the Olympics metro updates below.

How do you use the Paris Metro? Is the Paris Metro dangerous? I’ve lived here for a decade and I often forget that the Metro can be intimidating for visitors of all kinds, so I wanted to revisit my old video on this and give it an update to reassure you that the Paris Metro is safe, dependable, fast, and often fun (but sometimes decidedly not fun prepare yourself for some summer BO). Whether you’re staying in Paris for a few days or moving here for a few years, the Metro will quickly become a part of your daily experience.

Be sure you get yourself a Navigo Easy as soon as you make it into the city, and remember that in order to use the RER to get in from the airport you have to buy a completely separate ticket that will cost over €10 if it costs any less, you haven’t bought a ticket to central Paris.

Our app of preference for navigating the city is CityMapper, which you can get for Android or iPhone. And don’t forget that Paris is very walkable as well, so any time you feel like taking a stroll instead, you’re liable to stumble across some real gems.

Speaking of maps, be sure to get access to our dynamic map of Paris and all my recommendations at https://go.parisinmypocket.com/l54Orq'>https://go.parisinmypocket.com/l54Orq for the best time in Paris possible. Have a great time in my favorite city in the world!
