What’s the “The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists” movie about?
Pirate Captain (Hugh Grant) and his crew set out on an adventure to try to win the “Pirate of the Year Award” and finally defeat his lifelong rivals Black Bellamy, Cutlass Liz (Salma Hayek) and Peg Leg Hastings. As they go on with their quest, they will cross paths with brilliant scientist Charles Darwin and his sidekick “manpanzee” who will discover within the band of misfits that their prized parrot “Polly” is the last living dodo bird. Their adventure will thus take a shift and set them out to the streets of Victorian London where they will meet piratehating Queen Victoria herself.
