Way up North in Portugal, at the Spanish border, lies a national park filled with wonders. Gerês has it all: beautiful mountains, lakes, rivers, waterfalls and everything that we love.

While exploring the area, we encountered yet another abandoned village: the Vilarinho das Furnas, which was half submerged in the water after a dam was build at the lake.

After following the river by foot and raft, we ended the trip at the ruins of a Roman bathhouse, aside from a gorgeous lake in Spain.
