A sermon delivered by C.H. Spurgeon, Lord's day morning 9th March 1890.
Most sermons we hear contain some application. Perhaps there is an appeal to repent and turn to the Lord. Yet here we see Spurgeon, equipped with the promises and threatenings of Scripture, searching every room in the heart of a sinner.
He seems familiar with human reluctance and refusal to follow the paths of God. Yet he is tender in his approach.
