This film gives a voice to adolescents who, through their journey in a rather special school, will become, ten months later, young adults armed for their lives.

What do you think about when you're sixteen? To go out, to enjoy your friends, to the next liein, to girls and boys, to get the average in the next term... but rarely to get up at dawn, to make your bed squarely, to obey orders without to challenge them, to learn a trade. In short, having responsibilities and being able to keep them.

However, at the Brest foam school or “the school of life” as they call it, five young people between sixteen and eighteen years old, coming from the four corners of France, will make this choice: join the National Navy to “grow” (Chineze), “do a job that is not like everyone else” (Emma), “ensure a future” (Esteban), “find a manager” (Bastien) or even “defend your country” (Denis).

For ten months, the directors followed junior students with different profiles, different personal backgrounds, and different expectations. An individual and collective human adventure like a revealer of personalities which highlights the dreams of some and the failures of others.
