Today I have a couple of chords that sound fantastic together and once you learn them, they will give you a rich new sound in guitar’s favorite tonality of, “E Minor.” To get things started we’re going to learn all about these two chords, and then, I’m going to expand on both with two more “bonus” chords.

This lesson introduces a group of four chord patterns that are all based within, “E Minor.” The lesson contains chord voicing examples that will work through the patterns of each chord to help provide you with a solid foundation for the second half of the lesson.

The lesson also includes two bonus chords. One is a simple “C” Major shape that you probably already know. The other bonus chord is a shape that introduces one of the most full sounding inverted harmonies.

This unique harmony is one that all of the world’s most famous guitar players love to use in the open position. Its format is from the quality of a sound that is referred to in harmony as the, “Major 6th.”

To wrap up the lesson I’m going apply all of the chords across a chord progression in, “E Minor.” The progression will incorporate a simple and easy to play fingerpicked approach that will help provide you with a very cool sound that uses all of the chords covered throughout this guitar lesson.
