Welcome onboard the outbound leg of All Nippon Airways B 777381 JA751A from Tokyo (HND) to Sapporo in Hokkaido to visit the beautiful coastal town of Otaru.

Thanks to the very cooperative and understanding crew, I was able to tape some nice footage of the classic cabin interior of a 25 year old Jet still active in 2023.

History of Boeing 777381 JA751A

Serial number 28272 / Line Number 142 was manufactured 1998, performed her first flight on May 15, the same year and was delivered on June 30,1998 to All Nippon Airways registered JA751A.

JA751A is one of the oldest B 777300 still flying in 2023 and the cabin interior resembles the old fashioned ANA cabin design of the 90s.

Until January, 2003, JA751A carried the special “777300” livery.

From 2011 to 2014, JA751A carried special titles “心をひとつに、がんばろうニッポン Forward together as one, Japan”.

Sharp dropping demand in spite of the Corona Pandemic forced ANA to ground large capacity aircraft and in consequence JA751A was stored at TokyoHaneda from February through September, 2021.

After the Corona Pandemic, the demand for domestic air travel picked up sharply in 2022.

ANA reinstalled Boeing 777300 operations in September, 2022 on domestic trunk routes mainly from Tokyo to Sapporo, Osaka, Fukuoka and Naha with a capacity of carrying more than 500 passengers.
