SpiderMan, SpiderMan, does whatever a Spider can. We all know the words, even though they came from a series that’s nearing 55 years old! For many, SpiderMan’s first animated series in 1967 was their introduction to the character and many of his villains, and understandably so, as SpiderMan debuted in comics only 5 years prior to this TV series hitting the airwaves. These days, while the show has iconic elements, it’s taken on new life as a bit of a meme factory, thanks to social media. But what about the actual content of the show? Is it a worthwhile adaptation of the character and his stories? There’s only one way to find out.
