A short history of the aircraft that was named "The Spirit of Delta" an aircraft purchased by employees for the airline as a thank you for not laying them off when times got tough in the early days of Airline Deregulation. This aircraft became the flagship of the Delta Airline's fleet. Painted in various liveries over the years to celebrate the 1996 Summer Olympics anfd the airline's 75th Anniversary, this airplane has always been unique. Now it resides in the Delta Airline's Flight Museum on permanent display. As a note there is about 30 seconds of dead air time at the end of this video, and we are not sure why.
