The lost MG D GT was a British Leyland concept from 1970, replacing the evergreen MG B with a radical midengine, reardrive coupe with a wedge shape body, an Austin Maxibased engine, and Hydrolastic suspension. Had it been launched, it may have been the world's first truly affordable midengine sports car.
