The supporting documents you will need to attach to your appeal letter.

It really depends on the reason why your application was rejected.

Since everybody has different reasons for their visa rejection letter, the documents you will have to submit, vary on that. Below find a list of the most frequent reasons for visa denials, and the supporting documents you will have to submit in that case.

1. One of the most common reasons for visa denial is "Unclear purpose of visit" "The information submitted regarding the justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was not reliable " or "Justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was not provided" you would need to submit documents that will make it clearer for them, which you have not submitted during your application. So this could a better COVER LETTER, more detailed TRAVEL ITINERARY or a clearly explain INVITATION LETTER if your applying for a visit visa.

2. Another frequent reason for visa denial is "Suspicion you may not return to your home country" Officials want to avoid people overstaying their visas and/or working without authorization. You must provide evidence that you will be returning, and sometimes a return flight is not sufficient. So If you got this as the reason for your visa application refusal, try to submit at least one of the following, if possible:

*Employment contract – if you submitted that during your application, obtain a letter by your employer in which they claim you are obliged to return to work, upon the end of your planned trip
*Proof of your Business DTI, barangay/mayors business permit, ITR, and BIR
*Proof of Student enrollment – in case you did not submit it previously
Documents that show you have property, a house and lot, cars, etc.
*If you have some investment or life insurance
*Certificates that prove you have family ties in your home country, i.e. marriage certificate, childbirth certificate, etc.

3. if you get denied simply because of "Insufficient travel insurance coverage" just purchase travel insurance from another company, or just update your current and submit a document that proves that, alongside your appeal letter.

4. Schengen embassies often reject visa applications because of Not demonstrating proof of fundsor "You have not provided sufficient means of subsistence, for the duration of the intended stay or for the return to the country of origin or residence, or for a transit to a third country into which you are certain to be admitted, or you are not in a position to acquire such means lawfully."this happens when they think the candidate does not have enough money to support themselves during their stay in their territory. In case you are rejected, for this reason, submit:

*updated bank certificate and 1year banking statement if you have more than one bank account better show everything

*ATTACH YOUR CERTIFICATE OF EMPLOYMENT or BUSINESS OWNERSHIP They don’t only look at how much you have in your bank account. Rather, they want to see kung may pumapasok ba na money in our bank account regularly. Sometimes you also need to submit your ITR pero kung minimum wage ka naman then okay lang kahit wala so submit the payslip or work contract.

*SHOW PROOF OF PROPERTY OWNERSHIP Like what I said kanina, they look at the totality of your circumstances. Hindi lang yung laman ng bank account mo. Your Bank Account may have not much but once they look at your Land Titles, Condominium Unit Titles, Car Registration, Investment on Stocks, etc., they would understand why you don’t have much in your Bank Account dahil ininvest mo pala sa mga mas makabuluhang bagay.

* SHOW OTHER SOURCES OF INCOME

*lastly is to show that you have a sponsor, request a letter of support – by another person who claims that they will support you financially during your stay in Schengen, accompanied by their current bank account statement

5. another not so common reason is " One or more member state consider you as a threat to public health''
