The Te Deum
An ancient Latin hymn in rhythmic prose, the Te Deum is sung or recited at matins (said at or after midnight) in the Roman Catholic Church. It is also used as an expression of thanksgiving on special occasions by both churches. The English translation is said at morning prayer in the Church of England.
