David Ruffin tragically passed away from an accidental overdose of crack cocaine. Reports indicate that he collapsed at a crack house in West Philadelphia, accompanied by his friend Donald Brown. Brown rushed him to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where medical staff worked tirelessly to revive him, but sadly, Ruffin was declared dead at 3:55 a.m. that morning due to "an adverse reaction to drugs (cocaine)."
