From the skies of the Winter War, to the last days of the Continuation War Oiva Tuominen proved himself as one of the most capable and competent Finnish pilots of the FAF, and even of the entire war. Earning massive distinctions in his Gloster Gladiator and later Fiat G.50, he would become Finland's highest scoring ace in both designs.
