With extensive personal sailing experience a background in maritime operations and a family with yacht production in my childhood, I aim to clarify that claims suggesting twin rudders are cheaper and less robust are misleading.

I will argue that twin rudder systems provide more control, particularly in challenging conditions, and that their installation is often more expensive due to design complexities.
