In my previous video I briefly mentioned the school roof trope and how in modern day Japanese schools, generally students are not allowed up. In this video I explore the much more complicated answer, involving the history of school rules, it's use in formative anime, and the case by case basis it is at now. I also get philosophical about roofs of all things.
