The Twelve Chase of Christmas 🎅 Part 4: Capricorn One (1977) Stearman-Boeing Model 75 Biplane Chase

They're not all CAR chases in these.. In this video, we have a 1940s StearmanBoeing PT13D (Model 75) Keydet biplane being chased by two Hughes LOH6 "Loach" Cayuse helicopters, from Capricorn One. I've marked it as 1977, although some say it has a 1978 copyright. Please note, this is an edit; I've removed a lot of the green screen, actor closeups and talking to make it one long allaction scene. Although the Stearman can do 120mph, it's a push and given its age and extra weight, would likely be doing less than 100mph. The choppers can do 175mph, so I love this chase because of the underdog factor and the aerobatics of an oldtimer plane. The stunt pilot (who sadly died soon after filming) said this was the most dangerous flying he's ever doneI assume that became the second most dangerous quite quickly?

Just for fun, I always wanted to make a list of some of my favourite chase scenes from films I remember as a kid and edit out some of the "acting" and inbetween scenes, to make it one long chase. I thought some of these films might not have been seen before by the majority of the channel's audience, so over the twelve days of Christmas (Boxing Day to the 6th January), I'll be looking to upload my twelve favourite chase scenes. There might be copyright claims on some of them, so this is partially experimental (not monitised and fair use doesn't seem to matter).

Leave a comment if you've seen it before and when you first saw it, if not, leave a comment on what you thought of it.

Enjoy!
