#flytying #fishing #caddisflies Here's one method of tying a killer, October Caddis Pupa fly pattern. Family Limnephilidae.

The Limnephilidae is one of the more diverse families in northern latitudes, including 252 species and 41 genera in North America (this is why they are known as the Northern Caddisflies). There are a few genera that live in the Midwest and South.

Most are shredding herbivores or detritivores. This group is well known for their diversity in cases materials and architecture, which at the genus or species level can often be used to aid in identification.
