‘The Vision They Had’ is the opening movement of ‘The Windrush Suite’ written by Ivor Novello Award winning Composer Renell Shaw. The Suite pays homage to the complex origins of stories about life away from home, a longing for family, security, love, loss, joy, disappointment and most importantly, the will to survive.

This short film is a celebration of the contributions of a vibrant community, it highlights rich diasporic traditions from the perspective of a Londoner, who is second generation Black British of Caribbean descent.
