Starting as a happy accident of solo singer/songwriters getting together for a onetimeonly performance at a tiny guitar shop, The Wailin’ Jennys have grown over the years into one of today’s most beloved international folk acts. Founding members Ruth Moody and Nicky Mehta along with New Yorkbased Heather Masse continue to create some of the most exciting music on the folkroots scene. The trio stopped by War Memorial Auditorium’s historic Attic Lounge to play some songs off of their most recent album, “Fifteen”, and discuss everything from bringing their music to the US to keeping folk music relevant in world where pop rules the charts.
