For centuries, the Trojan war has been a part of human history that both ancient and modern scholars have tried to decipher. Although Homers depiction of the event was written some 3200 years after the war, most of his sources gathered in the Iliad came from both Dictys of Crete and Dares of Phrygia, both whom participated and witnessed the war.

The written sources in this video when referencing to the Trojan war, have been gathered by
Prof. Elene Kocaqi in her book, ‘The War of Troy A Pelasgian and Illyrian War’.
These sources are among others from Dictys, Dares, Plato, Homer, Horodotes, Ovid, Statius, Thucydides, Plutarch and Strabo to mention a few.
