war madness of its supreme leader, Adolf Hitler. It brought together the army, sea (KRIEGSMARINE) and air (LUFTWAFFE). How had she achieved this radical transformation? Thanks to the unfailing will of one man: Hitler, the Fuhrer. The WERHMACHT went on the attack in 1939 and very quickly conquered several countries and ended with France. England, protected by the English Channel and victorious over Goering's Luftwaffe, did not fall under the German yoke. Germany broke in 1941 the treaty which allied it to Russia and WERHMACHT attacked in the Russian plains. She was first victorious, then defeated. It could not do anything either against the Allied landings in June 1944, but resisted to the heart of Berlin.
