The World's Oldest Stories from Australia (Tales about the flood myth)

Stories rarely remain static, their words change as new generations hear them and tell them. But in certain circumstances they may remain as they were intended, and there is one place in the world where such a situation occurred, and that is with the First Nation Australians.

First Nation Australian oral tradition stress the importance of story telling, and this coupled with their isolation, and a catastrophic event, has led to some of their stories remaining the same for many thousands of years. Making these some of the oldest stories in the world today.

Stories from Spencer Gulf about the Narrangga trib, about Kangaroo Island Gulf of St Vincent and Ngurunderi , and the Wellesley Islands with their seagull woman called Garnguur. And also the Tiwi people from around the Bathurst and Melville Islands and their supernatural being Mudangkala.

Please note I was unaware of the issues in certain terminology when making this video, and will note that I will not use this again in future videos. I'm sorry if this has caused offense.
