the worst aspect of playing Genshin Impact long term

There's lots of things I love about Genshin, and lots of things I think could be improved about the game. But the absolute worst thing is how 4 stars are harder to acquire than 5 star characters, which needs to be fixed. So I made a 45 minute long video essay about it lol.

I want to further clarify the simulated data from TenTen in the video. TenTen didn't factor in soft pity for 4 stars, which makes it more likely to get a 4 star before the guaranteed four star on the 10th summon. Now, I know this exists, but when I was trying to find data on the exact chances for four stars factoring soft pity in, I couldn't find good sources, so I couldn't even try to simulate something myself with soft pity. Overall though, it was unimportant to what I was trying to illustrate in this video, as the point was just using data that would look similar to the real world in order to illustrate how Hoyo can make a guarantee system balanced to cutoff outliers wherever they see fit. I could've technically just drawn my own curve to illustrate the point I made, but I wanted to use something more close to reality, which TenTen's simulated data still was. All I did was compare a hypothetical system in the context of TenTen's data, so the real average wasn't important for making a comparitive illustration on stastitics in general. It would be important if we were actually drawing specific estimates to money Hoyoverse makes, but that is not the point of this video. The real world data, due to the soft pity system, would look the same as the simulated curve from TenTen, but with the peak of the curve shifted slightly left on the X axis. It does not change the comparitive illustration I was trying to make, but would make it more likely for Hoyoverse to implement a hypothetical guarantee system closer to my dream of 40 summons to guarantee a specific 4 star character.

Anyhow, I still got a bit off script at points, in case it wasn't obvious. Hope you enjoyed watching this video, it is probably the most work I have put into any video I have made. Next week should be something more fun, since I do prefer having fun playing Genshin rather than writing 6000 words about something that makes me sad, believe it or not!

Tectone managed to change things for Weapon Banner way back when, maybe this video can change things for four stars if we are lucky.
