From the Second World War and early Cold War, to the end of the Cold War. In today's video, we'll be looking at the wreck of the Soviet Submarine K278. A sinking that is still a bit of a mystery, in exactly what caused it. And one that is infamous for how much of an accident it truly was.

The wreck is also infamous, because of potential radiation leakage. It was concerns about this that led to a joint NorwegianRussian expedition in 2019. This not only checked up on radiation, but also gave us quite a spread of pictures to look at.
