THERAPEUTIC ART ACTIVITY FOR ANGER
The past couple of weeks I’ve felt my anger bubbling up to the surface over the news about the Asian hate crimes. I had to ask myself: what can I do with this anger? As always, I turned to art to help me unpack those feelings. Today, in my new video I share a therapeutic art activity to help you express your anger and most importantly find out what is underneath it. Using the model of the ‘Anger Iceberg’ by the Gottman Institute, I was able to identify what is below the surface of my anger. The top of the iceberg is the outward expression of it but underneath the water is what I am actually protecting my more vulnerable and sensitive feelings. Discovering these emotions can help us get to the root of the anger to help us begin to start our inner work.

If you decide to try this, please share with me, I would love to see it!
