Anthracite Coal Mining in Pennsylvania played a crucial role in the growth and development of multiple things, but it didn't come without a price.

This is the Avondale Mine Site and on the 18th of September, 1869, a mining disaster took place that took the lives of 100 men and changed history. In this 2024 look we'll see what the memorial site looks like today and thanks to the ‪@undergroundminers‬ we'll get a glimpse of what used to be.
