One this episode I address a viewer's comments and review a Yamaha Pacifica PAC012 strat style electric guitar.

NOTE: Lots of people commenting on my claim that the neck on the Pacifica is "unfinished". I checked the specs on Yamaha's website, and it says "Neck Finish Satin Polyurethane". Well it has to be the thinnest coat of poly you can possibly put on a guitar neck, because the wood feels raw. So maybe this one never got finished or they just keep it super thin to save money. I think "unfinished" can also mean that the neck is not glossy or doesn't have the traditional heavy finished. When I'm wrong I'll freely admit it. But I also stand by my comment that the "unfinished neck" (or in this care very light finished) is a cost saving measure. It's way easier to throw a light coat of matte finish on a neck than it is to apply a heavy gloss finish. I also find it interesting that people zeroed in on that one little detail of my review. If you play this guitar a ton, it will absorb your sweat and the humidity did impact the Pacifica's tuning stability. Also, I swear that when I made this video, I checked the specs at Yamaha, and it didn't mention neck finish. Below in the specs I copied and pasted from Yamaha, but now the specs on Yamaha's website mention matte poly. Hmmmm???
