The tibialis anterior muscles are probably the most overlooked because they just aren't very visible. But they're extremely important for avoiding shin splints and knee pain. And since band exercises can be good for physical therapy they aren't great for building real strength, so that's why I recommend doing this kettlebell exercise as it is a lot better for building real strength.
