Why is Consistency So Hard to Achieve?

Today we're going to talk about how to develop consistency.
The real problem with consistency ironically has little to do with your personal motivation or discipline; the problem with developing consistency, at its core, is an identity issue.
Imagine a day where everything falls into place effortlessly: you wake up early, tackle tasks with precision, and end the day feeling accomplished. It's a life with clear direction.
Many people struggle with harnessing consistency because they lack clarity about what they want from themselves, similar to choosing a character in a video game without committing to a specific path. This identity issue prevents individuals from making decisive actions and living intentionally, which ultimately affects their ability to maintain consistency in their lives.
Now let us compare that to life, let us say that the beginning of the game is similar to your days in school, are you working on developing your ability to study or socialize, your work ethnic or your discipline. Are you working on developing relationships or mentorships? Are you thinking about where you are wanting to take your life? Or is that tomorrow's problem? It always seems to be tomorrow's problem, doesn't it? If it does, realize that you are committing to the wrong path, a path of procrastination.
Without decisive action, you risk reaching a point in life where you feel adrift. Every decision matters, shaping your future. It's crucial to be intentional with your time and choices.
Don't drift through life; don't just go with the flow. instead, create your own current and flow with that. Realize that today is all you have, and every decision carries weight. The way you live today shapes tomorrow.
Live in a way that proves you actually give a shit about tomorrow. We create our own futures with every passing moment, and if you don't invest in your own future, then who the hell will? Future you? I doubt it. Stop sabotaging your future self by procrastinating. Live with purpose and invest in your future.
This is why so many people feel trapped in a rut. It is because they don’t understand and underestimate the importance of today.
Use the present moment to its fullest. Don't let yesterday's regrets or tomorrow's uncertainties hold you back. Live for the future you, striving to leave behind a better life each day.
That is the trick to utilizing consistency, to live in a way that makes past you proud, and future you able to take more steps down the path you started today.
Consistency isn't inherently difficult to achieve; it's about channeling it effectively. You can consistently tread the wrong path, but to harness its power for your wellbeing requires focus and commitment and that, in reality, is the hard part.
Remember that Ghandi once said, “Your actions become your habits, Your habits become your values, and Your values become your destiny.”
