While there are thirdparty agencies that will guide you through the process (for a hefty fee), if you have a simple case (i.e. allmale lineage through at least 1969), you can absolutely DIY the process. If you have a more complicated lineage (e.g. some maternal ancestry), it may be worth consulting with one of these agencies to understand if you still have a pathway to citizenship.
