This week we visit the abandoned town of Jordan River. The abandoned history of this place is very interesting and we are lucky to be able to visit it today. BC Hydro abandoned this power plant that was built in 1911 and left it for the forest to retake the building.

Overlanding is a great way to see the world and we really enjoy making these video's about our travel. Its always fun to visit places with some history!

Diversion Dam still stands today 110 years later as a testament to the ingenuity and quality construction of the time.

The land on which jordan rivers abandoned buildings lay was turned over to the Pacheedaht First Nation's in 2018 and they have extensive plans to reform the area into a tourist destination. This would be an amazing thing to see happen. Maybe Jordan River will once again be revived into a better and more booming place then it once was.
