An engineer by profession, Apeksha was always interested in the food business. Backed by her husband and a friend, she took the plunge a few months ago in setting up a tiny eatery in Padmanabhanagar, South Bengaluru, where the vegetarian menu is a mix of local favourites and snack items from Dakshina Kannada. Having received a few recommendations from their patrons in the neighbourhood, I ventured out one evening to meet this young, confident entrepreneur and support her fledgling enterprise, in doing so, I taste a satisfying tiffin of idli vade served with a rather impressionable sambar, a subtlyflavoured Mangalore bun, nourishing bonda soup and some more, before rounding off my meal with an organic jaggery coffee. Hope you enjoy this episode; please do support small businesses in your neighbourhood. Take care; stay safe and strong. Happy eating!
