Thousands of runners took to Manchester’s streets today for the Great Manchester Run.

Some 30,000 runners were signed up to the 10k and half marathon routes.

Around 100,000 spectators were expected to attend and cheer on the racers.

The event, which has been going for 21 years, features Europe's biggest 10k race.
