Bri and I set off on the 22 mile infamous day hike, The Enchantments, in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness in Washington State (no permit needed!). This point to point thru hike is the hardest hike Bri or I have ever done, but it was also surprisingly the most beautiful hike either of us have done. To do this 22 mile hike as a multiday trip, you need permits that sell out years in advance... the loophole is you don't need a permit if you do it in one day...
