Tidal Surge at Cromer
On 9th November 2007 the Norfolk coast suffered a tidal surge, thought by many to be the worst since the devasting floods of January 1953. Such surges are caused by a combination of wind and tide; in this instance the wind was not fully in the north so the storm was not as severe as it might have been. Our video was shot on the west seafront at Cromer.
