This was a tricky review for me. This Tikka CTR in 223 replaced a prebankruptcy Remington 700 LTR in 223. I could have been satisfied with the 700 but it was essentially a handloading exercise to get it to shoot. That rifle can be seen here    • Remington 700 LTR 223  

My groups are MUCH better with the Tikka than the Remington and I didn't need to upgrade anything. The magazine system seems reliable to me but I can see that plastic insert being damaged overtime especially if it will be dropped on concrete or treated poorly.

The bolt is much easier to manipulate, rounds eject with authority and the trigger breaks like glass. I haven't had to adjust or correct anything. That in and of itself brings a whole different scale of economy to get a good rifle.
