Jean Claudric, real name JeanClaude Bacri, also known under the pseudonym Sam Clayton, is a French arranger, conductor and composer, born on September 13, 1930 in Algiers. He was an arranger for many French pop artists, such as Nana Mouskouri and Charles Aznavour. He accompanies several of them on his tours. In 1987 he received the Grand Prix de la Musice Légère, awarded by SACEM. He also worked on the music for several soundtracks such as Checkers Game. He participated as an arranger and conductor in the Eurovision Song Contest on multiple occasions and for various countries, including the first and only Moroccan participation in 1980.
