0:32 GS: Everyone is fit, that’s not unusual for a cup final. Everybody is ready and we are ready to achieve what we set out too since the World Cup in Qatar.

1:33 HK: We’ve shown unbelievable consistency. A lot of us were heartbroken after the loss to Italy at Euro 2020. It speaks volumes for the mentality of the squad and to be back in this situation. We’re desperate to go one step further than last time.

2:27 GS: We’ve had several meetings trying to assess the opponents, best ways to play against them. Our messages haven’t really changed in the seven weeks we’ve been together. We’ve got good experience of big matches now. We don’t need to motivate the players for moments like these.

3:52 HK: It would be the most incredible feeling to win it. There’s extra hunger and fire in the belly to make sure this one goes our way. It will come down to small details and we’ll need to make sure we are all over that.

4:47 HK: Whenever you lose a final it’s tough to wipe it out of the memory. Euro 2020 final was difficult but a lot has happened since then and I’m excited to be back on that stage. Now we need to execute.

8:01 HK: You try not to think too much about how lives would change if you win. When we’re here and been away you are in your own bubble. It’s hard to tell what’s going on back in England. It’s pure excitement to try and make people very happy tomorrow night. We’ll give it everything we’ve got.

9:22 GS: I was one of the more popular Englishmen in Berlin after Euro 96. Fate and the run we’ve had in this tournament it doesn’t equate to this being our moment. We have to make it happen for ourselves.

10:40 HK: We were all England fans growing up. We had great moments but couldn’t quite get there. I know it will be an incredible night if we can achieve what we are setting out to achieve.

11:39 GS: Observations on Spain are they have a very clear way of playing. Press really well, like all Spanish teams they keep the ball really well. We’ve kept the ball really well in the last few matches. We played very well against Netherlands.

12:53 HK: Before every tournament you have to have belief you can win it. The belief has only grown and the team is confident but like every game you prepare the same way. We know we have a lot of great players in the team and great togetherness.

13:58 GS: When we came into the tournament we had a lot of issues particularly at the back. Stones and Guehi have been exceptional. We’ve been trying to find the right balance throughout the whole summer, solving little issues. We feel we’ve started to find that right balance throughout the tournament.

15:29 GS: Taking penalties is a skill taken under pressure. We’ve been helped by the fact a lot of players take penalties for their clubs. A lot of people have been a part of that piece of work.

16:34 HK: The support I’ve had since moving to Germany has been great. I’m sure there’s a few German fans who will wish me well tomorrow. It motivates me to give back to those who have supported me throughout my career.

19:10 GS: Euro 96 quarter final against Spain, I played well. We won on penalties. Spain probably deserved to win but it was an important day for England.

21:01 HK: No real insights into individual players. Preparation is key and you’re always talking as players before matches. As a team we look at everything we can.

21:59 GS: Sometimes you have to go through difficult nights to progress as a team. We tried to be honest about where we were as a football nation in the last eight years. We needed change and had high expectations. The high expectations have remained and now we are making the latter stages of tournaments.

23:46 HK: Spain favourites? That’s not for us to decide. Spain have had a fantastic tournament, they’ve been the best team consistency wise. In a oneoff game of football we back ourselves against anybody.

25:22 HK: Happy birthday to Yamal for today. He’s playing with no fear and freedom, he’s a definite threat for tomorrow night. We have to be ready.

26:06 GS: The difficult nights taught me that football can change so quickly. I’ve got more perspective in my life. There are bigger things than football but football has given me an amazing life. I don’t have any fear of what might happen because I’ve been through everything.
